Does anyone have a water filter on their shower.?

Hi I live in a hard water area in the uk and have recently read that this may be contributing to my dry and itchy skin.....wondered if anyone has experience of these filters and whether they have any benefits!

Yes!! I have hard water and I inch like mad when I get out of the shower. My husband installed a filter last year and it's made all the difference in the world. I still have to get moisture onto my skin immediately after, but no extra irritation.

I actually have a whole house system, and it gets rid of nearly everything except chlorine! My hubby put a specific filter on the shower to remove everything, including chlorine. The whole house system just didn't help me as far as showering... have a sensitivity to chlorine apparently
. He bought the shower filter at Home Depot. We have to change the filter once every 6 months.

I agree! Makes a huge difference. I now only suffer on my face, hands and feet. The rest of me rarely has an outbreak now. My husband laighs as I can always tell when the salt is out as it tells on my skin!

yes, it has helped a great deal. As a matter of fact, I can tell when the filter needs to be changed because I start getting itchy immediately out of the shower. It's always just around the six month mark.
