I have really wanted a tattoo for a LONG time. I have researched getting one an talked to my dermatologist about getting one. She basically told me to stay away from red ink 100% and that she haven’t seen a lot of patients in regards to grey or black ink tattoos. She said that everyone reacts differently, so she couldn’t confirm if I was going to react or not and that the choice to get one was up to me.

I have 7 black tattoos, not small either, and one colour, blue, purple and yellow. I've always made sure it's on a clear patch of skin though, and make sure you take special care after! The ink has never affected me. I stick with the same artist and he knows me and my skin, he also advised me to stay away from red as its the most common colour people (even without a skin condition) react to!
I have 7 black ink. I have had no problems with any of mine and the ink has done very good in my skin most of my tattoos are over 20 years old with touch ups hear and there.
Hi. I have atopic dermatitis and I have a tattoo. Never bothered me at all. I just made sure I got it in an area that was cleared up. Mine has 4colors black, green, yellow and dk. pink. The healing process never bothered me and I had no flare up because of it. Hope this helps. ☺
I have two small tattoos, a medium sized one, and a huge one. All have colors. Two of them are near my eczema on my arms (wrists and inner elbows) but there has never been a huge issue with the eczema effecting the healing process or anything. I have reds, oranges, blues, purples, pinks, etc. on my skin and they're all doing fine. I've had these tattoos for years! I'm 25 with awful eczema on my hands, wrists, inner elbows, above my mouth, and eyes. So far, the tattoos haven't caused a flare up or hurt my current conditions further.
I hope this helps!
