My son is 10 months old . He has eczema on his back, sides of the belly, neck area, behind his elbows and time to time behind his ears. The worst ones are on the sides of belly they scab up and the ones on his neck they turn red. Dont know what to do. I get his who body moist as much as i can through out the day and it seems to come back. I watch what he eats
Try using Aveeno eczema therapy cream ! I use it on my son . It clears his skin on his neck and face .
And for the scab eczema try using Hydrocortisone for eczema with the aveeno cream . just put a dap of hyrdocortisone and mix them together . Use for a week with the hydrocortisone and then stop for a week and just use the aveeno cream . Continue with that pattern . Thats what my sons doctor recommended . He’s 3 months.
Make sure not to use lotion or body waah with scents in them because they can cause flare ups. I was so sad because i had to give away about 15 bottles of baby lotion and baby body wash but if it helps my son, thats all that matters. He had a spot on his next that would not go away after 2 different rounds of antibiotics. We were finally prescribed a steriod cream that worked. We use only Dove Baby or Dove Sensitive body was and Dove Baby and Aveeno Eczema lotions. My son will be 11 months old tomorrow.
Our pediatric dermatologist said ONLY use Vasoline, nothing else. When he was 6-8 weeks old he cried every time we tried Aveeno or anything else, due to fragrances as well as preservatives. Look at the labels. She also prescribed 2.5% cortisone ointment that we use twice a day. He became so so much calmer, slept better and it cleared up within days. We use the Vasoline at EVERY DIAPER CHANGE.
