Has Any One Had Good Responses To Antibiotics?!
A MyEczemaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I recently got pneumonia, and my dr. Put me on doxycycline. I’ve been on the antibiotic since Friday. And my hands have healed up considerably! Anyone ever encounter antibiotics helping clear up their eczema? I have to take the doxycycline twice a day for 7 more days.

I imagine it reduces the Staphylococcus load which is usually high in people with dermatitis. That's why they recommend weekly dilute bleach baths. Although I don't have a bath, I tried a dilute bleach bath on two occasions, squeezing into a big plastic tub. The first time it definitely had a calming effect, however the second time I didn't notice any help.

Antibiotics can clear eczema. The drawback is prolonged use of it has side affects. That is why so many of us are always searching for creams, ointments, etc. to use. I am still experimenting with different products. I am constantly searching on internet for products and reading reviews. I am currently using Harlan's Smart Lotion, Manuka honey, Aveeno and CereVe also Eucerin creams.
