Yes, you most certainly can use the Neutrogena daily but, for me personally, it dries out my hair too much. You could try it. Keronique also makes an anti-residue shampoo but most shampoos that keep my scalp clear do not make my hair happy. I wish I could just remove my hair from my head, cleanse them separately with different products, then place my hair back on my scalp when done. Be patient with the anti-residue shampoo remedy. Took my scalp weeks to heal and stop itching. It's not a quick fix but my doctor initially prescribed topical doxicyclene and the shampoo worked so much better. Not sure about using your dog's shampoo. I would call the manufacturer of that product before using.

Use an anti-residue shampoo like Neutrogena once or twice a week to clear the scalp hair follicles of debri and other shampoo residues. It took months to clear the itching but mine rarely itches now. Best to find a fragrance free cleanser (like free & clear) to use on the other days but I've not found one that doesn't trash my hair so I'm still experimenting with different ones for regular use that don't cause my neck to break out from the contact.

I use Neutrogena tar shampoo. It is used every couple days and doesn't smell great but it has helped a lot with the itch and dandruff.
