Itching in late evening. Applying Listerine does help.

Hi, yes and it IS always related to what I ate that day or stress. Food being that I splurged and ate a known off limit high histamine food for me like one in the nightshade family ( eggplant) or even something very high in sodium. Without fail causes intense itching. I have had bouts for hours from (3AM-7AM) non stop. Thank God I learned how to control it by being very carful with my food choices. Also I used to spray 50/50 ACV and water on any area and that stopped the itching. At times I would have to spray three times within 5 to 10 min but it worked to reduce an itch bout from 3 hours to 20 min. As far as stress I pray, drink calming teas and resist negative thoughts. Really look into what your individual triggers are. Hope you get relief soon.

It’s high cortisol that causes itching not lower levels.
