Members shared their go-to moisturizers for relieving dry, itchy skin, with Eucerin Intense, Cetaphil unscented lotion, Vaseline, Vanicream, and coconut oil emerging as popular favorites that provided real relief when applied consistently. Several members highlighted affordable options found at drugstores, including St. Ives oatmeal body wash and Eucerin eczema lotion, along with practical application tips like moisturizing on damp skin after showering and using Vaseline on cracked areas. A recurring theme was the desire to avoid overusing steroid creams due to side effects like withdrawal reactions and red circles, with many members seeking gentler, non-steroid alternatives they could use daily without worry.

I'm using the ointment triamcinolone acetonide for my problem spots and I've also been told to use Vaseline sensitive skin lotion.

vaseline helps me with the cracks I get in my skin. I also use eucerin excema lotion and it doesn't burn at all. Seems to help some with the itch and it's not a steroid. The steroid creams can be brutal and I used them for a while and I got bright red circles on my rashes. It's called something but I can't recall. It's like a withdrawal reaction from stopping steroid creams. Can't use them forever. Need a break. :-( vicious cycle uggh

Thank you for the body wash suggestions. I'd like to try the oatmeal body wash. I can't afford to spend a bunch of money but yet I need treatment too. The cost of the St. Ives wash is right in my range. 🤗
