I was prescribed Ketoconazole 2% shampoo by my doctor for 14 days. It cleared my seborrheic dermatitis. I was also on prednisone to. Not sure if it was a combination of the two or just the shampoo

After all these years my scalp started bothering me as well. My doctir prescribed a liquid ointment and the itching has subsided.

Hair and coloring products can absolutely be a cause of eczema on the scalp. I highly recommend speaking with a doctor about this or stopping the hair treatments for some time and see if it helps.
