My derm told me Aquaphor for my hands but they were to the point of bleeding. Typically I do a colloidal oatmeal soak oat dry, use my treatment (let that dry, thin layer of CereVe healing ointment let that sit for 5 minutes then add a nice layer of Aquaphor, this is at night so I wrap them. And I just use CereVe or Aquaphor through our the day. My itching has really lightened up. Unless I have gloves on for too long.

I hate Vaseline. It sits on top of the skin and does not moisturize the skin. It's also very greasy. La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 (with no sunscreen) is a much better product.

Yes, Vaseline (petroleum jelly) is highly effective for moisturizing and can help with itching. Here are some key points from the knowledge base:

- Moisturizing: Vaseline is considered one of the best moisturizers because it acts as a barrier that prevents moisture loss from the skin.
- Effectiveness: It is often recommended by dermatologists due to its low potential to cause allergic reactions.
- Application Tips:
- Apply a thin layer of Vaseline to damp skin, especially after showering or bathing, to lock in moisture.
- For hands and feet, apply Vaseline and then cover with gloves and socks to enhance its effectiveness.

However, it can be quite thick and greasy, which some people may find messy.
