With Eczema it's recommended that you stay fully hydrated and from what I understand, alcohol dehydrates you.

Thank you. I have suspected this for some time. I eat a pretty healthy flexitarian diet and walk most days a week. However, I do and have been, have a glass or two of wine per day and feel that this is possibly the cause of my worsening eczema and also development of perioral dermatitis. That and the fact that I have definitely gotten worse since the vaccines. In January, I abstained for the month but that didn’t seem to help. Perhaps I need to try longer?

Till now, I didn't feel that alcohol particularly affected my eczema, but I am a social drinker and don't necessarily drink very often.
On the other hand, as a functional nutritionist and coach, yes, alcohol can make auto-immune conditions worse by first triggering your gastric symptoms and leaky gut, and second by making your immune system overreact.
