There are somer anti itch creams, including Sarna, that help. I have found oral CBD to also help and also facilitate sleep.

If the body is also heating up try accupuncture. My doctor did a couple of sessions with me. He focused on allergy receptors on feet, legs, hands, arms and ears. It released the heat and sensitivity and allowed me to sleep. I also continued with hydromol (water based moisturising oitment)

To manage severe itching due to eczema, here are several effective strategies you can consider:

1. Moisturizing: Regularly apply moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated. Products like Vaseline, although greasy, are highly effective. Cooling the moisturizer before application can also soothe the skin.

2. Over-the-Counter Treatments: Use hydrocortisone creams (like Cortaid or Cortizone 10) to reduce inflammation and itching. These should be applied as directed on the label.

3. Antihistamines: Oral antihistamines can help reduce the itchiness and also aid in sleep. Common OTC options include fexofenadine. Be mindful that some antihistamines can cause drowsiness.

4. Wet Wrap Therapy: This involves applying a wet wrap over the affected areas to calm and rehydrate the skin, which can significantly reduce itching.

5. Avoid Scratching: Try to keep from scratching as it can worsen the itch and damage the skin. Keeping nails short and wearing gloves at night might help.

6. Consult Your Doctor: For persistent and severe symptoms, it's crucial to consult with your healthcare provider. They might prescribe stronger medications or therapies tailored to your specific needs.

Always follow your doctor's instructions when using any medications, and discuss any new treatments with them to ensure they are safe and appropriate for your condition.
