I have tried many different things and nothing stops the itching except the steroids and I'm afraid to use the all the time. Sometimes I have to because I can't stand the itching. So apparently there is no solution. Is that everyone's experience?

In addition to moisturizers, try to avoid soaps, even hand soaps. I use special products for washing my hands AND my body. These cleansing products work for me: Certaphil Flare Up Relief Body Wash, Baby Dove Dermacare Soothing Wash, Bath and Body Works Sensitive Body Wash w/Collodial Oatmeal.

My favorite hand creams are LaRoche-Posay Ciciplast Hand Cream and Gold Bond Eczema Relief Hand Cream with colloidal oatmeal

I'm sorry to hear about your struggle with hand eczema. Here are some tips that might help manage your symptoms:

- Avoid Triggers: Identify and avoid substances that trigger your eczema. This could include certain chemicals, soaps, or even extreme temperatures.
- Wear Gloves: Use cotton gloves for dry tasks and vinyl gloves with cotton liners for wet tasks. Avoid latex gloves if you're sensitive to them.
- Moisturize: Use moisturizers with high oil content, like creams or ointments containing mineral oil or petroleum jelly. Apply them after washing your hands.
- Use Fragrance-Free Products: Choose fragrance-free soaps, detergents, and skincare products to avoid irritation.
- Petroleum Jelly Overnight: Apply petroleum jelly to your hands at night and cover them with cotton or nitrile rubber gloves to lock in moisture.

If these tips don't help, consider consulting a dermatologist for a personalized treatment plan.
