I have only had 2 flares of eczema, 2 years apart. Both times, my derm ordered traimcinolone, which did not work and caused much burning on my legs.
Did not work for me, I agree about the burning and itching continued.
I wear half sox at night to keep my ointment from getting on my face [steroidal].
I used the diaper rash ointment A & D - because I had some & it worked 😃

I've had eczema on my scalp now for about 6 months. I've tried Cibinqo and had digestive problems with it. Dr first put me on prednisone which worked until I finished the pred. Now I'm on allegra, zyrtec and singular daily. I also use Ketoconazole medicated prescription shampoo. I have also tried sunflower oil and apple cider vinegar on my scalp after shampooing. He wants to try Dupixent but I am really not sure my condition is bad enough to warrant that. Any thoughts or home remedies?
try a new doctor!!!
Dermatologist prescribed Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo, to be used every day. I did and after 2 weeks had awful scaling and what felt like scabs. Stopped using it and tried Exederm daily shampoo. I walk or ride my bike every morning and spend time in the yard. I know the sweat is not good and I do try to rinse my hair after I come in. But that doesn't even seem to always help. The itching is even waking me at night. Started on back of one side of head in March when pollen started; then moved to other… read more
