I've included a picture, although I dont know why type of eczema. I get the rash around my belly, back, my upper inside of my arms and buttock. The itching drives me nuts, discoloration of my skin tone, and scars. I've been dealing with it for 3+ plus years and have only recently been told what it was(not for lack of trying ro find out in past). Up until recently no doctor was able to tell me what kind of rash. Looking for the absolutely best cream solution out there.

Members shared strategies for managing stubborn eczema that causes itching, discoloration, and scarring, with several noting that while cortisone provides temporary relief, it often leads to rebound symptoms once stopped, and one member found longer-term success with Methotrexate. Many community members described common trouble spots like the ears, which can feel like pimples before becoming flaky and itchy, along with practical suggestions such as switching to free-and-clear detergents like Tide Original, using calamine lotion for itch relief, and trying prescription Eucrisa cream. A recurring theme was the importance of identifying and eliminating irritants, like clothing or laundry products, as a long-term solution rather than relying solely on topical steroids.

We use the original tide as detergent. Ive got the cortisone and it helps but i want somethinh more lonh term and i don't think I'm gonna find it. Has anyone ever gotten the cortisone shot, does it help? I have also use an over the counter eczema cream which seemed to make it worse.

Cortisone works while you take it but once it wears off the eczema usually comes back worse. I'm currently on Methotrexate which is working for me.
