Anytime I use scented soap I get real flair up and I’ve use dove sensitive soap bar but I need a none scented soap with great moisturizer.
I've been using Cetaphil and Shea Moisture African black soap with Shea butter for troubled skin. There is also a Shea Moisture Indian Hemp and Shea Butter Inflamation Therapy Medicated Cleansing Bar for Sensitive Skin (both bar soaps available from Walmart). There is also Cetaphil Pro Body Wash. I've also used Aveeno fragrance free baby cleansing lotion on myself. I listened to a renowned Dermatologist who said he recommends always using emollients rather than soap or cleansers to bathe with. I've not tried this yet but it makes some sense and Aveeno Baby Cleanser is mostly an emollient but also quite thick. Has made a real improvement in my eczema.
Aveeno or Walmart's store brand Equate with colloidal oatmeal. There's a box of packages you can take baths with. Aveeno/Walmart equate lotion with colloidal oatmeal. Also they have a thicker cream in a jar. It works. I've also discovered Excema Honey on Facebook about a year ago. I bought a package of several things they make. They have bar soap. A stick roll on. Hand cream. It cleared me up last year. I haven't tried this yet but Noxzema have eucalyptus in it and has a very cooling effect. It will help with the itching and scratching. When I had chicken pox I figured that out just about the tail end of it.
Natural citrus based soap from the health food store because it balances the PH of the skin.
I use all the “Eucerin” products, especially the body wash and the cream for eczema. Also, I can’t praise enough the shampoo I use. Sensinol by Ducray. It relieves the extreme itch I have on my scalp.
