I’m looking to keep it from flaring up, no itching or other symptoms, hot shower or steam is a trigger, being in the hot sun last week set it off so I’m looking for any suggestions on keeping it calm during the hot summer days.
Keep moisturizering throughout the day, you can cover your arms when it’s on hands it’s a challenge I know.
I recommend using some cooling towel's if you have to be out in the heat. You just wet them, shake and snap them and wrap around your neck and shoulder's to get cooling effect from them. Some of them last for a few hour's.I bought mine from Walmart.ACADEMY SPORTING GOODS STORES has them too and Dick's.I think most all Sporting Goods stores probably carry them.
I recently purchased a long sleeve shirt that is made from sun blocking material . Is is light weight and wonderful ! You can find many types on sun blocking clothing on line.
I live in Colorado but it is high desert so quite dry and hot in the summers. I am getting quite creative with finding long sleeve light layers and sticking to breathable natural fibers for the summer. Cotton button up long sleeve shirts seem to work well unbuttoned over a Tshirt. My son gave me a white one that was a little large but perfect.
Last night was the worst flare up I had on my fingers in the past year.It felt like my fingers were in boiling water.
