I have it on my scalp. First time around it was BAD!! all over my scalp. This time around, my forehead and back of my lower neck is compromised.
I finally after a year got in to see a dermatologist/allergist. He put me on gabapentin (300mg) triamcinolone ointment, and Ivermectin (3mg) now he did not have time to conduct a blood sample or patch test. He also scoffed at my regiment and the products I use. He said just shower and that's it, the water is good enough.

I can't take any of the JAK meds because they can cause blood clots and I have had two Pulmonary embolisms. I am trying the steroid cream on my head now instead of the gel as I read here that gels usually have alcohol in them and yuppie, mine does. Hope changing to the cream makes a difference. It's a 1% and creamy enough not to look greasy and I can work it in. Wash my hair everyday and used Tsal today instead of just a clear and clean shampoo then washed again with Aveeno baby shampoo and put the steroid cream on. We shall see.

Thank you, Joyce3. I am 67 and this is all new for me. My doc took a biopsy last week from my scalp so I'm hoping to learn something from that. I'm on day 3 of Rinvoq now and hoping it doesn't cause the stomach issues that Cibinqo caused.

I have occasional itching on scalp . I use Aveeno Oat Milk Blend Shampoo and after and in between I use Skin Smart Antimicrobial Eczema Therapy. I use this last one after shampooing and in between. It is not just for scalp but can be used on body. Both can be purchased on Amazon.
