Thank you for your advice. Fluocinolone helps a little but when i woke up last night with my hands burning and itching like crazy, It gave me little relief. I let cold water from the faucet run over my hands for 5 minutes, then used the fluocinolone cream. Pretty sad that that was the best i could do. This morning the itch is gone. Fingers still feel swollen though. Almost everything I eat seems to be a possible trigger. And i eat a healthy diet.
I do know that my dishydrotic exzema is worse when I am stressed. I have used so many steroid creams - the latest is clobetesal but that really does no good. I started taking Dupixent in May but I got conjunctivitis 4 days after the first shot. I thought I would continue hoping my body would get used to it as my hands and feet are clear from blisters and rash. I have had a totatl of 5 shots but am discontinuing because it is affecting my eyes - eye pain , inflammation, more conjunctivitis and inflamed cornea. Sorry I really can't give you more advice. I have had it for 30 plus years.
Yes it is. The first bad breakout i had was about a month ago. My hands were red, sore and insanely itchy. Of course my dermo couldn't see me for a couple of weeks. I tried Sarna for a while-- worked for about 5 minutes. By time i saw him my hands looked ok -- in bright light you could see those tiny blisters that look almost like min callouses. So I have been using the fluocinonide since. Keeps the itch at bay most of the time but my palms are peeling now like crazy. And it is all concentrated on my palms right below my index and middle fingers, and in between the fingers. At least it isn't on top of my hands.
How have you dealt with it?
Dishydrotic eczema is on your hands right? I have it and it's finally going away.
