Emotional Health and Eczema

Posted on April 27, 2018

Stress and emotions are an intrusive part of life when living with eczema. Sadness, anxiety, or stress may lead to outbreaks, leading to more stress and worry. It's a repetitive cycle sometimes! Learning to manage stress and beat the itch becomes paramount.

On MyEczemaTeam, the social network and online support group for those living with eczema, members talk about a range of personal experiences and struggles. Emotional health is one of the top 10 topics most discussed.

Here are some conversations about emotional health:

A member is nervous about starting a new medication for her eczema and another member shares how helpful it can be for her peace of mind.

I've been dealing with doctors for years with my eczema attacking my lymph nodes. I always get nervous when I see doctors.

My daughter's itching and scratching are through the roof today. So frustrating as a Mom, I just want to help my child! Feeling like a failure...

Can you relate?
